Using Pipod

A few ground rules.
Room to explore.

These terms set out the rules for using Pipod, creating personal audio, and sharing it responsibly. Please read them along with our Privacy Policy.

Create responsibly

Use material you have the right to use.

Understand AI

Review generated content before relying on it.

Stay in control

Manage sharing, plans, and your account.

1. Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account or using Pipod, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Pipod.

Purchases made through the App Store are also covered by Apple’s terms. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.

2. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Pipod, or older if the law of your country requires it. If you’re under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian.

Give accurate account information, keep your sign-in secure, and use only accounts you’re allowed to access. You’re responsible for activity on your account. Don’t put passwords or other credentials in prompts or uploads.

3. What Pipod provides

Pipod helps you make and listen to audio episodes using AI. Features include text and voice prompts, source-based creation, host and style choices, transcripts, libraries, downloads, public sharing, and scheduled news briefings.

Features, supported languages, generation times, and usage limits can vary by plan and availability, and we may change them. Generation may fail or be interrupted. We don’t guarantee any particular result, level of accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

4. Your inputs and generated content

Submit only content you own or have permission to use. That includes documents, images, links, personal information, and any material involving other people. You keep the rights you already hold in your inputs.

To run the service, you give Pipod permission to process, store, reproduce, and transmit your inputs and generated content, including through our service providers, and to make content available to others when you choose to share it.

AI output may not be unique and may resemble output made for someone else. We don’t promise copyright protection, exclusivity, or that generated content is free of third-party rights. Review content before publishing or using it commercially.

5. Use Pipod responsibly

  • Do not create or distribute illegal content, sexual exploitation material, threats, harassment, or content that facilitates violence.
  • Do not impersonate others, expose their private information, or infringe intellectual-property or other rights.
  • Do not present synthetic audio as an authentic recording in a misleading way.
  • Do not bypass usage limits, access controls, or payment requirements, or interfere with the service.
  • Do not upload malicious files or attempt to access another person’s account or content.

6. Use your own judgment

AI-generated scripts, voices, and images may contain errors, bias, or invented details. Hosts are synthetic voices. Content is for general information, exploration, or entertainment and is not professional medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice.

Verify important information independently. Pipod is not an emergency service.

7. Plans, credits, and purchases

Your plan sets your monthly credits and the features available to you. Credits are used when you make episodes and refresh each month; unused credits don’t carry over. Prices, billing periods, and renewal terms are shown before you buy.

Subscriptions bought through Apple renew automatically until you cancel them in your Apple account settings, at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Deleting the app or your Pipod account doesn’t cancel an Apple subscription. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, subject to your consumer rights.

8. Sharing and access restrictions

You decide whether to make your content public. Anyone with a public link can listen and read the transcript. Turning sharing off can’t recall copies people have already saved.

We may remove content, or suspend or close accounts, that break these terms, to protect people or the service, or when the law requires it. If you think we made a mistake, contact us.

9. Leaving Pipod

You can stop using Pipod at any time, or delete your account in Account Settings. Save anything you want to keep first, and manage any App Store subscription separately.

Deleting your account removes your access and your stored content. The Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information.

10. Disclaimers and liability

Pipod is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties that aren’t stated in these terms, and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on generated content.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that can’t be excluded or limited by law.

11. Changes and questions

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Pipod after that means you accept the updated terms.
