An engaging voice is not a guarantee of accuracy.
Pipod’s scripts, voices, and artwork are generated with AI. Episodes may contain errors, bias, invented details, or information that is out of date. Even an episode based on a source can misinterpret or omit part of it.
Check important claims against reliable original sources. Treat generated stories and perspectives as material to explore, not evidence that an event happened or that a real person said something.
Know when a podcast is not enough.
Pipod is not a medical, mental-health, legal, or financial adviser. Do not rely on an episode to diagnose a condition, make a treatment decision, resolve a legal issue, or decide how to invest.
It is not an emergency or crisis service, and you should not assume a person is monitoring what you submit. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. For personal concerns, seek a qualified professional or someone you trust.
Keep private things private.
Avoid including passwords, identity documents, payment details, confidential work, or sensitive information about other people. Use a general description or change identifying details when exploring a personal situation.
Prompts and source material are processed by external AI services to make your episode. Check documents before uploading and only submit material you have permission to use.
Understand the data flowExplore an idea without harming someone.
Do not use Pipod to threaten or harass people, expose private information, impersonate someone, encourage violence, create sexual exploitation material, or facilitate illegal activity. Respect copyright and other people’s rights.
A host style or a more candid tone does not change those boundaries. Make it clear that shared audio is AI-generated when someone could reasonably mistake it for an authentic recording.
Pause before you share.
When you make an episode public, anyone who receives the link can listen and read the transcript. A link can travel beyond the person you sent it to.
Review the entire episode and its transcript first. Turning sharing off cannot recall copies that others have already saved or redistributed.
Listen first when children are the audience.
If you make a story to play to a child, review it yourself before sharing it. A story theme or a friendly voice does not guarantee that every generated detail is age-appropriate.
Pipod accounts are for people aged 13 and over. When children are listening, a parent or guardian should choose and play the stories.
When an episode does not feel right.
Stop playback, avoid sharing the episode, and remove public access if you have turned it on. Check the original sources before acting on anything concerning.
To report an episode or a shared link, email contact@pipodapp.com with the link and what concerns you. This inbox isn’t monitored around the clock, so it isn’t the place for emergencies.
